The need for compressed air with lower dew points with respect to drying or refrigeration plants finds a response in adsorption drying systems.
These systems primarily consist of two (EEC standard) filters, each containing a charge of adsorbent material, an automatic regulations system and, with a pre- and post-filter. A strong structure makes the entire system compact.
Operation
The humidity in the compressed air is first retained by the adsorbent material that constitutes the filter charge and then eliminated in the regeneration phase; while the dried and filtered compressed air is sent to the distribution network. Regeneration occurs by taking a small part of the compressed air and making it passagainst the current through the filter to be regenerated.
